Avoid Wedding Day Disasters - Short Stories
Short stories from a wedding planner…
- The bride who forgot her bra! (The wedding had to be held up for 30 minutes).
- The mother who gave the flower girl a chocolate/marshmallow concoction 15 minutes before the wedding--you can imagine where the chocolate landed on the pristine white dress!
- The groom's mother who arrived 30 minutes late!
- The bride and groom who arrived 1 1/2 hours late for the wedding--while 300 people waited in the church.
- The bride's mother wearing flip flops with her jewel-studded dress. You cannot believe some of the getups that I have seen at weddings!
- The maid of honor who threw a temper tantrum to get back at her new stepmother (the bride)--just like a three-year old. The bride ended up going down the aisle in tears, and the maid of honor was very angry and defiant.
- The mother of the groom who showed up at a wedding after a six-year estrangement. I tried to get her to leave the Harrods’s shopping bag she was carrying in the bride's room. She insisted on carrying it down the aisle with her. The bride was convinced she was carrying a gun in the bag! The bride was in tears that the mother was there. The groom was begging me to let his mother walk down the aisle. Not how you want things on the wedding day!

haha. it sounds funny now. but i'm sure the bride(s) must have been tearing out her hair with these disasters. thank god, mine when smoothly. did lots of (most of!) the planning myself.
These really are horror stories! Being well-prepared helps avoid these potential disasters!
